This issue of ‘The Sorcerer’s Apprentice’ was produced for the opening exhibition at The Hovel, a gallery project organised and run by Michael Curran. This opened with ‘The Birthday Party’, a celebration of the recently deceased Harold Pinter and his play of the same title. Guests were invited either to bring along a work of art or to create one at the party itself; and these, along with the video recording and traces of the party, made up the contents of the first exhibition.
